Thank you for choosing Lori A. Seals Photography & Boutique as your portrait professionals! Whether you are updating your family portraits, documenting a milestone for your little one, capturing your high school senior before they wear their cap and gown, or making sure that your special occasion or event is remembered for a lifetime I'm truly humbled by the trust that you have put in me to produce beautiful portraits for you and your family to cherish for a lifetime.
I want you to feel that you not only made the best choice in contacting my studio for your photography needs, but that you also feel completely comfortable with me, your photographer, as well. Along with gaining a better understanding of your photography needs during a consultation meeting at my home studio, or from reading through your online consultation form that you submitted, I want to share these common FAQs that I am often asked when scheduling a session. I hope you find them helpful in answering your questions, but don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any additional questions that I did not include.
HOW LONG DOES A SESSION USUALLY LAST?
A regular session with usually lasts about 1 hour. Don't worry if we need to go over this time though, when photographing little ones we may be more on their schedule than ours. Some little ones seem to blossom right away in front of my camera, while other's need a little more time share their smile. With years of experience photographing children I know firsthand how different and unique each child is.
WHEN IS MY SESSION FEE OR PACKAGE PAYMENT DUE?
All session and package fees are due on the day of your session. If you have signed up for one of the Senior or Baby Packages and you are taking advantage of the Payment Plan, then your adjusted payment is due on the day of your session.
WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO VIEW MY ONLINE GALLERY?
I know that you can't wait to view all of the fun, unique and beautiful portraits that we just captured. I strive to curate each gallery in the most efficient time possible. Because of my years of experience and efficiency I'm proud to deliver your online gallery to you within 2 - 3 weeks of photographing your session.
HOW DO I ACCESS MY ONLINE GALLERY?
Once your online gallery is completed and ready to view I will email you my simple step-by-step instructions on how to access your online gallery as well as your unique password. You can then share your password with any family members or friends that you choose, however, I only supply the password of online galleries that include children to the parents/legal guardians only.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY ONLINE GALLERY?
You will first view your "touched up" portraits, followed by your "untouched" portraits. If you have requested any custom products to be designed by my studio they will be at the end of your gallery. If you would like to switch the portraits in any of your custom products that I have designed, please don't hesitate to let me know and I'll be happy to make that adjustment.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN "TOUCHED UP" AND "UNTOUCHED" PORTRAITS?
Once your session has been photographed I start my post-session workflow. Because of my studio's popularity I photograph many sessions per week and to keep up with the high demand I've implemented this feature with each session gallery. Whether I've photographed your session in my home studio or at a location I will fully "touch up" 2 portraits from each backdrop that we used in the studio or from each location I photographed you at. When you log into your online gallery you will view these "touched up" portraits first followed by the "untouched" portraits.
"Touched Up" portraits are exactly that, these portraits have been spoiled by yours truly and show you what your "untouched" portraits will look like when you order them. Often I have seen photographers and photography studios over take a portrait with sloppy or uneducated retouching techniques and ultimately altering your portrait in an unflattering way. At Lori A. Seals Photography & Boutique I pride myself on my post-processing techniques and I make sure that YOU look like YOU in your final portraits.
"Untouched" portraits are straight out of my camera, but have already been cropped. I have years of education and experience with photographing in my studio, using our many studio lighting systems, and out on location with natural and artificial lighting to make sure that your portraits start out beautiful from within our camera. Lori A. Seals Photography & Boutique is an avid believers that a true professional photographer is one that will be able to capture beautiful portraits without the use of computer software programs alone, but with extensive knowledge and education of properly knowing how to use and operate a camera and adding natural and artificial light when needed.
IF I ORDER "UNTOUCHED" PORTRAITS WILL THEY BE "TOUCHED UP"?
Yes. After you have placed your order any "untouched" portraits will be fully "touched up" and updated in your online gallery. To keep up with my studio's high demand, I have implemented this feature with each session gallery. Portraits will not be "touched up" until your order has been placed. The "touched up" portraits that appear in your online gallery are included to give you an example of what the "untouched" portraits will look like once completed and fully "touched up".
HOW LONG WILL MY ONLINE GALLERY BE AVAILABLE TO VIEW?
Your online gallery will be available to view for 1 month, then it will be retired. If you need your gallery reactivated please contact me and I'll be happy to reactivate your online gallery at no extra charge.
HOW DO I COMPLETE MY PORTRAIT ORDER?
I encourage you to complete your order by scheduling an appointment with me at my home studio. There I can display your gallery on my large television and answer all of your questions in person.
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE TIME TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO COMPLETE MY ORDER AT THE STUDIO?
Not a problem! Each of the online galleries are equipped with a shopping cart feature. If it would be more convenient for you please complete your portrait order(s) through your online gallery shopping cart with your credit card. Once you've placed your order through your online gallery I'll contact you once your order has been fulfilled.
CAN I ORDER MORE PORTRAITS LATER?
Yes, if your online gallery is retired and you wish to order more portraits simply contact me and I'll be happy to reactivate your online gallery at no extra charge. Then when you are ready to place your order you can schedule an appointment with me or take advantage of your gallery’s shopping cart feature.
HOW DO MY FAMILY MEMBERS AND/OR FRIENDS PLACE THEIR PORTRAIT ORDER IF THEY LIVE OUT OF TOWN OR STATE?
If you happen to have family members and/or friends that live out of town, or state, then they can take advantage of your online gallery's shopping cart feature as well. Once their order has been placed, through the shopping cart in your gallery, my studio stays in communication with notifications letting them now that I have received their order, when their order has been fulfilled and when their order has been shipped to them along with the package tracking number and information.
WHEN WILL MY PORTRAIT ORDER BE READY TO PICK UP?
Once you have placed your portrait order it usually will be fulfilled within 7 business days. If you ordered any custom product(s), depending on what the custom product is, or if there is holiday your order may take a few extra days until it is ready.
WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
In my studio and on location I accept Cash, Check and Credit Cards.
